Despite leaving earlier than usual, i had a choice of choosing between the bus stop near me and the one opposite(closer to MRT) .
So i “relied and trusted” the app enough to help me decide it. I open the app and it shows that the one opposite has 3 available buses of 1min, 3 mins and 5mins.
When i reach the traffic light , i saw the buses for 1min and 3 min LEFT (i was Feeling a little confused. Wasnt the buses suppose to reach the bus stop on the timings that was “expected/predicted”)
Okay so i assume that the app was feeling a little “early” today. (because the buses left EARLIER than expected)
and i just continued waiting for the 5 mins bus, which initially said “5 mins” suddenly became “7 mins” > “10mins” > then back to “7 mins”?!!
And i was late despite leaving early thanks to this app.
What the hell is happening? Please fix this “unpredictable AF” app. I’ve given the app a 3+-mins of grace period but still was TOO early/TOO LATE.
Can be quite erratic but can’t speak for everyone
I’ve been using this app for many years and it has always been pretty good, up until I started taking 973 which is a newer bus so that could be why, but still. My bus stop is really poorly sheltered and it’s usually unbearably hot over there so having an app to track the bus is critical for timing my exit perfectly so my makeup self-esteem and mood aren’t completely melted off by the time the bus comes. sadly the 973 timings are usually very inaccurate, either from “arriving” it suddenly becomes “not available” or the app indicates “6 minutes” for a good 16 minutes instead. It’s just really frustrating because I have a problem of always being late for things and I’ve been trying to change by making sure I go down early enough to easily catch the bus according to the timings on the app. but it seems that no matter how hard I try my reputation will never change simply because this app is completely against me. Please do something about it. It’s better to not indicate a timing at all than indicate a timing that isn’t going to happen because people can plan their time accordingly at home and it’s not that big a deal.
Very Inaccurate Bus Timings
whenever i use the app, i would face a timing problem, without fail. for example, as i was checking the bus timings, i noticed that the bus i wanted to board was arriving. so i ran to the bus stop and waited. after a few minutes had gone past, i refreshed the app again and it still said that the bus was arriving. upon the next refresh, it showed that the bus was coming in ten minutes. since it was taking too long to arrive and i was rushing for time, i decided to walk the nearby mrt. as i was walking, the bus that i was waiting for drove past me. this problem has been happening repeatedly. the bus timings are often inaccurate, the refresh button never accurately refreshes the information and this leads to a lot of time and energy wasted. plus, this only makes it more inconvenient for commuters to use as it’s inaccurate and unreliable. sure, there are times that the bus app would give accurate timings but the amount of times the app was inaccurate outweighs the amount of times it actually works accurately. i hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
