What is Engage?
Engage is an online platform that enables you to share your knowledge and become a mentor to Primary and Secondary school students who are struggling with their homework questions. You will also be paid up to $2.50 for every question answered.
The platform is available round-the-clock on both the mobile app and the web browser, so you can enjoy flexibility and answer questions at your convenience - anytime, anywhere.
Who can be a mentor?
To be a mentor, you have to be at least 18 years old (with A-levels and above) and are up-to-date with the latest Primary and Secondary education syllabuses set by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Singapore.
How do I be a mentor?
1. Sign up for an account on our website and submit the application form online.
2. Take a proficiency test for the subject you applied for.
3. Wait for an interview call from us.

Am rather disappointed
I was initially excited to start mentoring. however, with time, the app’s weaknesses were exposed. the question would not pop up and this was a consistent problem that I faced, causing me to lose many questions..... Hope the team would fix this as soon as possible as it is rather disappointing
Needs more development
The question does not appear even after clicking on the notification and you easily appear offline automatically .
Need to build up on the app features .
15 Sec of notifications is a little short since need to unlock phone with passcode will take a few seconds too.
Requires a lot of improvement
I had 3 questions in a row which I “missed” even though I happened to be in the app and clicked on the notifications immediately. I’m pretty sure they were all within 15 seconds but the students’ questions just doesn’t appear after clicking on the notifications.
The app also logs itself out every time I close it, and it’s a hassle to log in every time I open the app
