Much improved app however ...

Let’s start with the good as always - great dinning offers and good to see some traction in getting BBT as well as Travel merchants on board.

The bad:
The true flaws are realized when you check out a particular restaurant > leave the app > eg google directions or reviews > head back to the app and voila - you’re redirected back to homepage. Super annoying!

Now this is entirely frustrating, cause if you did not not favorite this restaurant, you would have to search it all over again.

The in app search engine is also lacking and not robust enough to pick up location-based terms, so discovering what restaurants are available can be challenging and definitely time consuming. Even on web, you’re not able to filter/sort the list of restaurants entirely!

All in all, I think the user design/experience definitely needs some serious help when compared to BurppleBeyond where they truly delivered on that. Nonetheless, both platforms would definitely help in saving some moolah while having a good meal.

Terrible app and terrible customer service… COMPLETE SCAM

I downloaded entertainer in 2023 and using the old version of the app was great. Everything worked smoothly and I was able to get great deals using the app.

HOWEVER, in 2024 when I renewed my subscription (which cost me $60) I was unable to use the app for 3 days AND COUNTING. When I reached out to customer service on whatsapp, all they told me was to wait as they were facing some technical difficulties which they were working on fixing. When I asked for an approximation on when the issue would be fixed, I got a curt response. Three days later, I am STILL unable to use my subscription which was supposed to last for exactly 365 days. I’ve lost 3 days and supposedly will lose more as they claim to take two days for the backend team to get back to me on the issue. All I can say is the new version is completely unreliable and the entertainer team has done an awful job at responding to the needs of a paying customer. Will be attempting to get a refund on my subscription if they are still unable to help me.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP

Honestly, there are MUCH better deals on other cheaper/free apps. However, my main gripe is with the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I already had the Entertainer 2019 but in the second half of 2019 - I errantly re-purchased Entertainer 2019 again, which meant that I paid TWICE for the app that year. This was because when it was advertised to me, I was under the impression that I was purchasing Entertainer 2020. Firstly, there was no reason for me to pay for Entertainer 2019 again since I already had it. Secondly, there was no in-built system to prevent a second payment by informing the customer that he/she already has the app. Thirdly, the customer service manager(s) have little empathy for customers. As soon as I realized this mistake, I got in touch with them. I wrote a detailed email explaining my situation but all I got was a two line reply from the staff which basically sounded like “Too bad”. There was no empathy and no intention to be responsible.

I regret purchasing Entertainer 2020 and am going to find out if I can cancel my purchase and have my money refunded.
