Travelers are constantly bombarded with bad advice from non-experts and false product claims, resulting in many persistent misconceptions about jet lag and how to alleviate it.

It's time to replace the myths with real circadian science:

In your brain, you have a 24-hour circadian clock that regulates nearly all of your biological functions. Jet lag is caused when your sleep/wake and light/dark cycle shift too quickly for your circadian clock to keep up. The only way to reduce jet lag quickly is by shifting your circadian clock to the new time zone.

Light is the most important time cue for “shifting” your circadian clock. Light exposure and avoidance, at the right time, will significantly accelerate your adaptation. Seeing or avoiding light at the wrong time — as often recommended by non-experts — will shift your circadian clock the wrong way making your jet lag worse.

Beat jet lag the scientific way!

I’ve been travelling for work for over 20 years .. after a very very long trip in July (110 hours of travel in 14 days) I was exhausted for one entire week ... I decided to look for a better way to do this ... found this app .. waited for my next very long trip .. in a period of 17 days I had - Singapore, Japan, Australia,Singapore, Atlanta (USA) and back to Singapore (home).... I used this app to a tee on the singapore - Atlanta - Singapore portion .. ( supported by using sunglasses (when the advice was to go dark), and bright glasses when I needed bright light and there was no sun out (retimer glassses)... I had very little jet lag on the way over to the USA... and NONE on the way back to Singapore ... this is a first in travelling all my working life ..... brilliant, brilliant! If you travel beyond 3+ hours in time difference this app will really help ... highly recommended!!

Road warrior and the first time without jetlag

I have been traveling for work very frequently and regularly cross 16 hours time difference. As you can imagine this turns your entire life up side down. I started to use Timeshifter on my last trip and I’m truly amazed! I honestly do not have jetlag - event though traveling for close to 24 hours and crossing 16 time zones.

It is important you follow the directions the app gives on on when to drink caffeine, find light and go to sleep - but It Works!!! I am no longer dreading long trips!

Outstanding Results

I’ve been a frequent international traveler for over a decade, including dozens of cross-Pacific flights. Even though I am experienced in managing jet lag, I was surprised at how much better the Timeshifter protocol worked for my last trip (from Las Vegas to Singapore). I experienced virtually no jet lag. It was far and away the easiest time zone transition I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
