Twitch is where thousands of communities come together for our favorite streamers, for the games we love, for the lulz, for each other, for whatever. Download Twitch and join millions enjoying live games, music, sports, esports, podcasts, cooking shows, IRL streams, and whatever else crosses our community’s wonderfully absurd minds. We’ll see you in chat.
Here’s a convenient list of other awesome things about Twitch:
Everyone is “about” community. We actually are one: Whatever you nerd out about, you can find your people on Twitch.
Give support, get support: Find new streamers and subscribe to your favorites. Plus, unlock exclusive perks for your support.
Start your own channel: The Twitch app is one of the easiest ways to start streaming. Just create an account, go live directly from the app, and bring people together around whatever you’re passionate about.
You never know what you’ll find: Popular games are always live, but so are music festivals, rocket launches, street tours of Tokyo, and goat yoga. Yes, really.
Dark mode: Y’all love this one. Black and purple have never looked this good together.

While we love watching live streams of our favourite games, there’s more than meets the eye. Try the many live animal cams – and even a whole channel dedicated to “happy little trees” painter Bob Ross.
Annoying interface bugs
Claude_Leow
App has some severely annoying interface bugs on iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 14.4. Clicking the chat box the first time minimises the video into PiP mode. When watching a streamer for the first time, if they include rules in their chat box, the app freezes when the rules box is closed. It’s such a horrible experience that’s been around for MONTHS. Please fix this.
New UI a HUGE Mess
Ahid.z
The new UI has made using the app an extremely frustrating experience. It is so unintuitive, the TikTok style of browsing channels is so intrusive & there is no longer an overview of the channels you are following with thumbnails to see what they are up to. It’s now just a list of names of the channels you are following. The UI was just fine as it was before the update. I have no clue as to why they decided to change it the way they did. If you wanted to help promote channels we might like, put it under a tab with an overview of all the different channels, NOT this TikTok style presentation where I’m forced to scroll through countless channels ONE BY ONE. I had a couple of channels that I don’t follow but sometimes hop in for a bit when they are streaming something interesting to me, but now I can’t do that without having to search them up or chance upon them by scrolling, which is so counterintuitive to the idea of promoting those creators. You can say that I just need to get used to the new UI, but if using the app is actively making it harder to view the content that I WANT to watch, then I think I’ll just stick to the browser version from now on.
Awful new UI
rnmrrn
New scrolling UI actively made it harder to see when your followed channels are live, or watch their latest VODs and clips. Infinite scrolling, auto-playing feed is a misguided attempt to copy TikTok and does NOT work for long-form streaming. Twitch algorithm is worse than random; I’m constantly recommended streams and clips from channels and categories that I’ve ignored, and in languages that I don’t speak. I can literally ignore a specific game, refresh the feed, and see a dozen clips for that game before other clips in categories that I’m interested in and have previously watched. Twitch/Amazon obviously collects huge amounts of user data, so they know I don’t speak French and have never watched a French-language stream, but they’ve recommended me dozens of French streams—and they put those higher in the feed than channels that I follow! Similarly for Spanish, Russian, Arabic etc. Meanwhile of the 5 languages that they know I’ve watched, I only get recommendations in 2.
