Anagrams meets Word Search, with a sprinkle of Crosswords.
Typeshift is the modern anagram puzzle; re-imagined from the ground up, combining wordplay, modern game design, and a mobile-first approach.
In most anagram games, you search for new combinations within a single word, but in Typeshift, you search within three to five words stacked & scrambled up together.
Shift columns of letters up and down as you try to spell words in the center row. Play continues until you have used all letters in a puzzle at least once.
Special Clue Puzzles combine Crosswords with Anagrams as you match clever clues provided by Typeshift's various puzzle authors.

Typeshift features a free daily challenge with global leaderboards. The easiest challenge for the week appears on Monday, and progressively more challenging puzzles build throughout the week.

Where SpellTower tackled word search and Really Bad Chess handled chess puzzles, Typeshift re-examines Anagrams and Crosswords.

Not for the casual word-puzzle players..
This felt very elitist in my end. Puzzles with no clues just felt pretty useless as I have no baseline on where to even start.. "Here are letters now form words with it!!"
When playing clue puzzles, why do i need to tap the clue sentence to mark it as solve. That also felt very elitist..
But the mechanics are great . Its just the execution is terrible..
Mediocre with little to offer
Like so many other similar word puzzle games, this word-finding game dresses word-finding up with some very simple, garden variety mechanism tweaks and attempts to sell some conventional word puzzles.
For such a simple word puzzle game, the title is extremely power-hungry and there really is no surprise here - the game is unwisely developed with Unity. The option to conserve battery life in the setting doesn't really help. At all.
And the usual healthy amount of greed is plastered all over it, too, like so many other similar games, in the form of IAP for many, many, many small puzzle packs and hints. A minimum spending of 1 puzzle pack purchase turns off ads - but really, this is just at best a myth, and at worst a deceitful lie - the game still continues to download tons and tons of video ads with each weighing in at several MBs in size but hidden from view. Exactly like so many other similar, badly developed, power-hungry Unity titles.
And the usual privacy-invading analytics is in there, too.
There is nothing much here on offer. Just another run-of-the-mill puzzle title looking for a quick easy payday.
Warning: a few more gameplay minutes with this title seems to suggest that this game virtually turns the devices it runs on into a ticking time bomb about to go off anytime soon.
There appears to be no intense 3D graphic rendering nor heavy processing in this game, yet it raises the temperature of a device so high so fast the device is scotching hot to the touch within ninutes of running the game and the device is fast becoming potential fire hazard waiting to happen. This app needs to be removed from App Store immediately.
