I’ve had a fantastic shopping/selling experience through Vestiaire Collective. I have sold 2 and bought 5 items altogether. All my transactions and communications has been smooth. I like that there’s an option for Direct shipping (aka free shipping) and have 72 hours to report any discrepancies after you have received your item. Or, you can pay a small authentication fee for added peace of mind ;-)
Horrible authentication service
i am a seller on vestiaire collective and have sold an item which i stated in my description that i am unsure of the authenticity of the item as i randomly found it around my house and to buy at your own risk. Someone buys it and the vestiaire team cancels my sale with the reason stating that my item does not match my description when i have provided ample amount of photos on the item from every angle (5-8 pictures ) stated that it was used & how i am unsure of authenticity. i paid for labelling printing fees that costs me about $3. Now they want me to PAY for what’s MINE to get back to me for the fee of $12?????? HELLO? i’ve contacted their customer service 2 times and they both told me to wait for follow ups where i didn’t get a single follow up , instead i have received emails recommending me items to purchase. customer service also couldn’t answer why my item was ruled as not matching the description when i asked them what was wrong with my description. Ironic isnt it? your own employee can’t even answer what is wrong with my item and now you want me to pay for my item back!

Once sold with our standard method, we carry out a quality control. The amount of $12 charged to recover your item refers to our minimum handling costs (storage and shipping fees) and are specified in our General Terms and Conditions. Very poor return policy and faulty item received even after paying for authentication
I was charged about $8 per item for authentication, even for a pair of ASOS wedges which cause $40+. On top of that shipping was $30 per item. The wedges I received was spoiled, and even after reporting the fault with photographs, and the reference number, they attempted to reject my return claiming that the items do not match. I had 3 items under my reference number, for my first order. This is my first time being duped for buying what was supposedly to be quality assured branded goods where authentication was even charged for. Please do not support this app and report them as until now I have yet to be able to return the faulty item much less get a proper refund for their poor service, which they charge you extra for!!!!
