Have been using this for a long time and stuck to it because the video quality is retained when exporting (unlike other mobile apps). But love the new update recently, which makes editing a breeze! Just a small feedback that it would be great if we can have the option to adjust “Shadow” brightness in videos. But still 5 stars without this feature
Some missing features
Subscribed to this to complete an urgent client video. On the whole a good app, with a LOT of potential. Pros are that it automates text and video animations, fade ins and outs for audio and so on. However, there are many limitations, hence it falls short of five stars for me (as far as I can tell):
I) small selection of fonts - you can’t actually use your own system fonts or install new ones. Am unsure how difficult it is to integrate this app into accepting system fonts, but would like to see that in future versions
II) you can’t customise colours according to RGB value. You are stuck with the supplied (and limited) fixed colour palette.
Iii) custom shapes and text boxes etc - very limited selection provided, and adding or creating shapes is not easy
Iv) limited selection of effects etc.
V) the “stock music” (some of which seems to come from story blocks) does not appear to be royalty free in all instances. Have had two tracks flagged for copyright reasons by some service tracking for Story Blocks. If you are monetising your videos, do check first.
Vi) the selection of stock videos and stickers seems to be pretty limited as well.
VII) The iPad app interface is atrocious, and to clear a copyright claim, you have to use Apple’s Mail (which many users don’t) to resolve it.
Other than this, I will likely continue using this app until the annual subscription ends, but am hoping to see improvements along the way before deciding to renew.
Good basic app but needs more features (MORE FONTS PLS)
I’ve been a paid user (annual subscription) of this app for some time now, but have had to start looking for alternatives because of the very limited font options they have. You’d have thought this would be something they’d introduce or fix by now…
Even text boxes, stickers etc are very limited too & it’s starting to make less & less sense to pay for this app when it doesn’t really offer anything beyond the basic editing tools.
