Editors’ Notes

Like a good denim jacket, VSCO's got a coolness factor that can’t be measured. It isn’t just a set of perfectly made film-emulation presets and editing tools. It’s also a community of more than 30 million creators sharing and discovering their work—photography so striking it’ll make you wanna march outside and snap some of your own.

At last!

Thanks so much for rethinking the Studio and creating a workflow that edits directly from the photo library. It’s so much better to have edits saved on top of the original, and cleans up the Camera Roll significantly. Although for RAW editing (if anyone does that with VSCO; not me) I can see it might cause a storage issue. Perhaps that needs to be an optional setting.

hate the new update

i’ve been using VSCO for years now and i have (had) so many photos in my studio. usually i stockpile photos and edit them in one go when i have the time and since i already have presets for each type of photos i want. i didn’t open vsco for a couple months and when i did, i found out that all the photos in my studio were gone, along with unsaved ones that i hadn’t downloaded yet. it is really inconvenient and now i don’t even know which photos i have edited or not because i have accumulated photos in the studio for about 2 years. plus, when i try to save an edited photo into my camera roll now, it either doesn’t save at all and when it does, it doesn’t even go to the VSCO or VSCO Cam album. the update that supposedly frees up space in my phone has officially ruined my experience with the app, and i don’t know if i will even continue using it.
