Description
Watch Tuner Timegrapher is a mechanical (automatic or manual winding) watch testing application. It displays a frequency diagram of the watch and measures rate, beat error, amplitude and beats per hour.
The application uses the build-in or headset's microphone to record audible ticks of the watch.
Use this application in a quiet environment. Any ambient noise can affect result accuracy. Complete silence is the best however noise cancelling algorithm can help to eliminate not very loud sounds.The recommended way to record the ticks is to touch the crown of the watch with the headset (earplugs) microphone.
If you don't need the frequency diagram, look at Watch Tuner app.

Good timegrapher app
I’m using this app with my iPhone Xs and original earphone/mic. Quite amazed with its simplicity and overall accuracy.
Occasionally it takes a few tries before getting a stable reading and beat error measurements sometimes a little wonky. Given that I’m using the crappy original iPhone earphone mic, I suppose it’s not unexpected.
I did not follow what the app creator suggested ie. press mic against watch crown as it is hard to get a stable reading. Instead, I put the mic on the watch face (facing up) and press down the mic with a towel. This method works best but sometimes still need to adjust mic to have a stable reading.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with the app which is sufficient for my occasional usage as an amateur watch enthusiast!
