Description
As of September 15th, 2022, support for My Passport Wireless will be limited to critical security updates. To learn more, see the description of "Limited Updates" on our Product Support Lifecycle page.
Support for your My Cloud device has changed, and some devices are no longer supported with this app. We’ve developed a new OS to keep up with evolving security standards. Compatible devices must be Upgraded to My Cloud OS 5 by January 15, 2022. Incompatible devices will lose support on April 15, 2022, and need to use local access to manage your content. For more details, please visit https://www.westerndigital.com/mycloudupdates.
Functionalities with the My Passport Wireless products remain unchanged. You can continue to wirelessly access, organize and stream content from your phone or tablet using the My Passport Wireless app.
Note: The My Passport Wireless app requires a My Passport Wireless device to work (sold separately).

Can not detect Mybook live
Understood my book live is no longer supported by My Cloud OS 3 apps, and my iphone was prompted to change from my cloud Os 3 to this my passport wireless, which work as expected as i never expose my device to the internet. The issue is, when i install this apps to a new ipad, it cannot detect my book live on home metwork, and there is no option to add the device manually. Can WD allow user to add my book live device into this apps manually for user to access files on home network only? Thanks
Good for storage but not perfect
The storage space is great and plenty for all our photos, videos and other files. BUT the drawback is that each time you view a photo and close, it will go all the way back to the beginning. A bit frustrating at times.
Please do something about HEIC
Please do something about HEIC format. I was unable to view these photos and the thumbnail on the app... hope you can fix ASAP
Also PNG thumbnail please if you can the preview is very much appreciated as well
