Make your own comics
If you’re into comics, no doubt you’ve dreamt of creating your own fantasy world and heroes with incredible powers. Well, these three apps will get you started.
ToonCamera
Even if you don’t have an artistic streak, you're in luck. With ToonCamera, you can turn the world into a cartoon strip, just with a tap. No dexterity with a pencil is required. Open the app and point your camera at something and immediately your surroundings will look like a drawing. Snap a photo (or use existing pictures on your phone) and you can choose from various different artistic styles to make images that look as though they would fit into any graphic novel.
Anime Power FX
You have practised your Kamehameha stance so many times that it's set in your muscle memory, but despite getting everything right (down to the shout), you still haven’t been able to gather a destructive energy ball of ki in your palms – until now.
With Anime Power FX you can choose from a range of superpowers, from projecting nuclear energy blasts from your hands to breathing fireballs and summoning a “cosmic sphere of power to wipe out an entire area”. You'll be able to make all before you tremble with fear – or at least, you'll have a lot of fun taking hilarious videos of yourself striking Dragon Ball-style poses and overlaying the effects.
Jump Paint
If you do love to draw, and have notebooks filled with story ideas, Jump Paint is the app you want. The app contains a complex digital drawing tool with everything you need to create your very own manga comic strip. You can also learn illustration techniques through the many in-app tutorials (all presented in comic book style) with tips from manga greats, such as the creator of Gintama, Hideaki Sorachi.
