Stop running and start chasing

Introducing the Hunters of Identity V.

Identity V

1v4 Asymmetrical Battle Game

View

Do you want to run for your life or live for the hunt?

Horror game Identity V is chillingly atmospheric and built on a frightening premise: you can either team up with other players as Survivors, or play as a savage Hunter. The Survivors must race to solve puzzles in order to escape. The Hunter must see to it that they don’t.

In spite of its asymmetric line-up, the game designers have balanced out the characters’ different abilities to keep things interesting. Some can heal teammates, while others can generate clone to confuse opponents. That’s why success in Identity V takes a detailed understanding of each character’s strengths.

If you’re playing as a Hunter, knowing your character is even more crucial. Remember, you’re all alone out there. So, let’s take a closer look at the following five Hunters and see what they can do.

Joker (aka Smiley Face)

Background:
Joker used to be a circus star famous for his frown as a sad clown. But, things changed when new performers joined the circus, one more glamorous than the next. That’s when he decided to change his act. Replacing his frown with a maniacal smile, he vowed to never to show his sadness again.

Abilities:
Joker can build rockets by collecting spare parts scattered about the map, which he uses to dash forward and smash everything in his way – works great for catching Survivors real fast.

Jack (aka The Ripper)

Background:
By day, Jack was the student of a master painter. By night, he was a vicious serial killer that mutilated his victims. He lived this secret double life until his bloody deeds were revealed and he was forced into hiding. Few know about what happened to him since, but rumour has it that he still very much enjoys going out to ‘play’ at night…

Abilities:
Using the sharp tips of his bladed hand, Jack collects fog that forms into a blade with extended range to attack opponents. Jack hunts Survivors who are on the move. Survivors hit by Jack’s fog blades will leave a trail of fog, revealing their locations.

Michiko (aka The Geisha)

Background:
Michiko wears red and is as graceful as a butterfly. One day, she met a gentleman at a banquet and fell in love. They eventually married. However, the gentleman’s father opposed the match, which hurt her deeply. In the end, Michiko’s pain drove her to leave the man who she loved so dearly.

Abilities:
Michiko usually appears as a beautiful woman. But when angry, she takes on the Prajna form, which allows her to pass through barriers but moves slower. Moreover, Michiko slows down in a fit of embarrassment any time a Survivor sees her, so try to avoid their sight lines.

Leo Beck (aka Hell Ember)

Background:
Leo Beck was once a loving family man who lived a simple life as a factory owner. That is until his friend cheated all of his life savings and the factory was burned with Leo inside. But some believe he didn’t perish in the fire. After the blaze, a hair-raising note was discovered: Leo vowed to take revenge on the man who cheated his money.

Abilities:
Leo can summon a puppet that helps you locate survivors. If you instil it with enough Fury, the puppet turns into a powerful weapon that will hunt down survivors and help you capture them.

White/Black Guard (aka Wu Chang)

Background:
Once upon a time there was a pair of friends named Xie Bi’an and Fan Wujiu. During a violent rainstorm, Xie told Fan he was going to get an umbrella and asked Fan to wait for him under the Nantai Bridge. But the rain was so heavy that the river flooded and Fan disappeared. Xie returned to discover his friend dead. His pain and regret was so intense that he hanged himself under the bridge, leaving only the umbrella behind.

Abilities:
By tossing the umbrella, you can switch souls between the two friends and assume their unique abilities. With Xie an expert hunter and Fan a strong fighter, they form the perfect tag team, enabling you to play the character best suited to the challenge.
