This app pack enables you to:
- Perform pipe sizing and pressure drop calculation for hydronic heating and cooling systems;
- Calculate characteristics of hydronic underfloor heating systems;
- Perform sizing of a hydraulic separator for hydronic heating or cooling systems;
- Calculate heating cost for different heating sources, including heat pumps, gas boilers, oil boilers, firewood boilers, pellet boilers and wood chip boilers. Estimate savings on heating bill when changing the boiler or see which source provides cheapest heating and decide which generator to install.

Apps included in bundle:

1. Heating Pipe Size

Estimate required pipe diameter of a closed hydronic heating or cooling system in an instant.

Enter the required heating output, flow and return temperatures. Choose pipe material. The recommended pipe diameter is immediately presented as a standard DN.

Additionally, choose a pipe diameter and specify pipe section length and fittings. Results include water flow rate, velocity, pressure drop and can be used to determine the parameters of a circulation pump.

Note: only metric units are supported.

2. Hydraulic Separator

A hydraulic separator is used to separate primary and secondary circuits in heating and cooling systems. It is widely used in combination with gas boilers and heat pumps with integrated circulating pumps.

Correctly size a hydraulic separator in an instant. Two input parameters need to be specified: heat output and the smallest temperature difference required in the heating system.

3. Floor Heating

Determine the required water temperature, number of pipe loops, heat losses and more parameters of a hydronic underfloor heating system.

Floor Heating application makes it easy to design and understand hydronic underfloor heating systems.
The app is suitable for calculation of hydronic underfloor heating systems with pipes laid in a screed layer below floor covering, and can be used for a wide range of conditions: small or large systems, different floor coverings, different room locations, different insulation thicknesses and conductivities etc.

Modern low-energy and passive houses require lower water temperatures than buildings with poor thermal insulation. This application will help determine just how low.

4. Heating Cost

Estimate yearly heating costs when replacing existing heating generator (boiler) with a new one and compare heating costs for different heating sources/generators.
