Night mode is here. With this update, you’ll be able to switch to a low light-optimized color palette that’s easier to see while on your boating and fishing adventures at night. Also, the menu appearance can turn dark based on your phone settings.

At low speed position is wrong
Two years ago I reported a bug in application. At crawling speed there is no position on chart. Triangle appears, disappears, speed is 0. It is very frustrating as you need chart in narrow passage at low speed and then it stops working. Only workaround is to force close of application and reopen. The it works for couple of seconds and than the same behaviour repeats. It is working fine above 4kts. Support reported - We KNOW about this error we are working on it :). Only thing they really fixed is that they doubled the price of the yearly subscription.

We do understand your position, but the new catalog prices reflect the evolution of the Navionics Boating app into a premium navigation tool offering the latest technology in chart updates, overlays, planning, navigation features and more. It offers the same mapping experience and value as our premium chart plotter charting products Platinum+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ at a competitive price point.

Not friendly subscription model
Subscription model changed and is not friendly for users that are not using maps frequently.
Especially for Adriatic sea the price is high, and I think with a purpose, as a lot of charter is happening there (in Croatia) and Garmin wants to make good money. It is even excluded from Mediterranean sea, so you usually have to buy two subscriptions.
One cannot use app with old maps after subscription is gone.
Otherwise app is good.

Moreover, with the latest app release 20.0, new changes have been introduced to the app and now only active subscriptions have the right to download updated chart details and use advanced features. The app now includes new features and has become a premium navigation tool offering the latest technology in chart updates, overlays, planning, navigation features and more. It offers the same mapping experience and value as our premium chart plotter charting products Platinum+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ at a competitive price point. Old, expired subscriptions are no longer supported by the new app and previously downloaded charts will remain accessible as long as they are stored on the device’s internal memory.

The best boating app
This is by far the best app to have if you ever drive a boat. It is a bit expensive, but it offers the best insights & tools. Very usefull.
