Both the Noordung electric urban bike and the independent Noordung Air device are equipped with a sensor that monitors air quality, specifically targeting the most harmful particles, PM 1.0 and PM 2.5.

These minute particles, with diameters of less than 1 or 2.5 micrometers, pose significant health risks. The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified these particles as among the top threats to human health, affecting virtually everyone. Over 99% of the global population resides in areas that fail to meet WHO air quality guidelines.
