Smart Videos for Every Mood

You said you’d only watch one episode. And yet here you are, six hours later, covered in popcorn and shame. We’ve been there.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a good TV binge session, but you can’t always commit hours and hours of your life to it. Thankfully, Rheo is here to help.

Explore Rheo’s mood-based channels – Laugh, Inform, Learn, Taste, Spark, Move, and Chill – and the app will gradually learn what you like. The app’s navigation is similar to that of a dating app: hit the heart while watching a video to see more like it in your feed, swipe left to skip to the next clip.

Content is sourced from all over the internet, so you’ll see all sorts. On the Inform channel, for example, we watched a clip about Nairobi’s female boxers made by Vice News, followed by the acclaimed animated short film ‘A Single Life’ on the Spark channel. On the Laugh channel we caught a Graham Norton interview with actress Emma Thompson that made us LOL.

Rheo's Learn channel is packed with educational short-form videos.

If you like what you’re seeing, the iOS version of Rheo has an added sharing option so you can let your friends know what you’ve been watching through Messages, Twitter and Facebook.

While other streaming apps encourage you to keep watching the same show for hours, Rheo is reminiscent of the long-lost channel-surfing days. You know, when we didn’t have to decide what we wanted to watch, just that we wanted to watch something. And even if you do binge, 20 videos will now only take up about an hour of your time.
