Lacking “Travel Neighbour-Free” Feature
When I want to travel alone and book my ticket through the app, I can’t reserve the seat next to me to sit neighbour-free. I had to use the website instead. Other than that, everything works perfectly fine.
Don’t travel with them
Worst experience with FlixBus. I bought 1 ticket to get home and 2 days before departure they cancelled this bus. Then I bought next bus that was later and again they cancelled this bus. Why are they offering services when they cancelling them.
When I was trying to buy second ticket using their app, after payment I get message that this bus is cancelled and I will get refund. Of course there was no ticket in application and nothing about this bus. I bought another ticket for same ride and finally there was a ticket in app. I wrote about the first ticket on support and their communication is worst. I wanted to get my refund for first ticket because there was message from them in application that the ride was cancelled and I will have refund. They said it was not their fault. I asked if I can change name of ticket owner and they answer me that I can’t do it. Another day they said that I can do it. Every mail from them was contradicted. At the end the only option was to pay 5€ fee and get 2€ back. Another day it was 3€ fee and 4€ back and one day before departure they sent me mail that my only option is to pay 5€ fee and I will get back 2€ voucher for next ride (ticket costs 7€). So they have my 7€ and I got nothing. Even the 2€ voucher didn’t come.
I’m not recommending this company. My other experience is also that the bus was late for 2 hours without sms or mail info which they are offering.
"Sincere apologies" for this candid review
I cannot recommend FlixBus due to their high accident rate and inadequate handling of such incidents. Engaging with their "support" team for 12 consecutive hours yields nothing but psychological distress.
If you're inclined to witness overturned or burned buses, FlixBus seems more than willing to provide such opportunities. To add insult to injury, expect no refunds, increased fatigue, heightened stress, and an empty stomach (although, snacks are apparently the solution).
Dear FlixBus team, instead of indulging in humor on Instagram and TikTok, I strongly urge you to prioritize becoming a competent agency capable of managing accidents. Your support team seems ill-equipped and unproductive; consider investing in artificial intelligence to streamline the provision of these useless answers and questions, sparing unnecessary expenses.
