Bike Baron 2 9+

A good start

I'm writing this review as a person that spent hundreds of hours playing the original Bike Baron in high school.

The physics stayed the same! This is great news since the physics is in my opinion one of the signature things of BB. Visually the game is improved, a downside of which are framedrops on iPhone XS. I hope this will be improved in the future updates even if it means turning down the graphics. Controller support is a very welcome addition however it feels incomplete. There's no way to change mapping and you cannot go back to the menu from a level using the controller. This is especially frustrating since there's no restart the whole level button (which is a must for time attack).

The changing online challenge levels are a welcome and fun addition. On the other hand, THE LEVEL EDITOR APPEARS TO BE MISSING. Please please please, make sure to add it! It's one of the things that made Bike Baron great (just as with TrackMania on pc).

The menu seems to be unpolished - I bet it looks great on a TV or an iPad, but even on 5.8" iPhone it's tiny.

Overall I'm not regretting my purchase at all. This is the first time I'm gaming after years and I think I'll spend hours with this game even if it stays as it is. On the other hand, I truly hope it will continue evolving and that the issues mentioned above will be fixed.

Please update the game and download the latest iOS version. If your problems still persist, you can try out a new feature called ”Low Battery Mode” in the Settings menu, which improves the game’s overall performance. As for the missing features, we are constantly adding new content to the game. We have many nice surprises coming... :)
