Version 1.8.10
- Includes all new functionality and bug fixes up to Obsidian Desktop v1.8.10.
- Improved the onboarding flow to make it more clear that Sync is optional and make it easier to jump directly into vault creation.
- Shared Sync vaults will now included in the list of existing vaults during onboarding.
- Fixed bug where `obsidian://` URIs would not fire their action if the app was previously closed.
- The navigation bar now shows up immediately when the keyboard closes.

Phenomenal Note-Taking Software
True, the previous app by the same duo/team, Dynalist, was phenomenal in its own right (and I still continue being a paying subscriber of it, too, despite significantly reduced usage after Obsidian came around), but Obsidian is several degrees higher on the quality scale. You could say Dynalist was a "first draft" (top-quality, I must say it again!), while Obsidian is "the real thing". I'm an annual subscriber of both the Sync and Publish addons of Obsidian, but there's an astounding universe of *hundreds* of additional, third-party plugins for Obsidian, accomplishing amazing things with your beautiful, Markdown-enhanced plain-text notes, and all those plugins are free of charge. The most important difference between Dynalist and Obsidian: while the former was cloud-based, Obsidian uses *local files first*, which means it's rock-solid and secure in terms of reliability. It's also fully cross-platform, and the extensive use of customizable keyboard shortcuts in the desktop version is even more magical than in Dynalist.
This app changed my life
I didn’t know I needed this but I was searching for something like this. Design is superb. Markdown editing is amazing. Embed media files into notes. Link them with each other. Multiple vaults, folders etc to organize notes. Sync via iCloud or other way possible. Full offline and free. How does this even exist? It’s 10/10

This app is by far the best productivity and note-taking app out there. I can easily share between all my devices and the adaptability of this app is insane. With the community themes and plugins there is no way someone won't like this app. Give it a try. 5*
