Castles Review

Castles is an excellent successor to Fallout Shelter. It’s clear that the developers learned a lot from it, adopting the great features that made Fallout Shelter such a standout game.

The gameplay is enriched by a decision-making process that influences not only the mood in the kingdom but also the progression of the game itself. This feature has incredible potential, and if the developer invests enough time to make it a more natural part of the gameplay while enhancing the complexity of this system, it could be truly perfect.

As for the pay-to-win aspects, there are none. Throughout the game, I haven’t been bothered by intense popups, and almost everything is available through regular gameplay. Even special buildings can be purchased with special currency, which you earn through events. Of course, it takes time, but I see that as a positive aspect, making the game feel more rewarding.

The overall dynamic of the game, combining managing your subjects, combat, and castle management, provides a surprisingly smooth experience without any major issues. Occasionally, I find myself accidentally unassigning workers with a misclick, but I believe these small details will eventually be polished by the developers.
