The driver
Muhammad the driver who drove us from Swissotel to the theater of digital art in Dubai was very kind and generous as we had only 50 in dirhams but the ride was 54 and we asked him to take 50$ instead but he said 50dirham is ok, we wish him all the best and may God bless him and his family. The ride was super good, the car is shiny clean!!10stars
many driver cancellations
I have to write about bad experience here as despite long effort I could not find a way how to contact support of Uber. This may also indicate something but the problem I had on my last drive was that when I requested a ride and got connected to driver he cancelled the drive. but not immediately. after about like waiting for him for 5 minutes. ok it happens. but 7 times in row is too much. I had to wait with my daughter out in cold weather for more then half an hour to finally get a driver that picked us up. worse was that each driver cancelled after like 5 minutes watching him driving towards us on the map. Uber should seriously think about penalising drivers who cancel ride after say 1 minute from acceptance. this was really bad experience.
Can never catch a ride
Uber was okay few years ago but right now I tried multiple times throughout multiple weeks and I can't get a taxi no matter the length of the trip or time of day. Everytime a driver is assigned to me they immediately decline the trip and I'm waiting to be assigned another driver just for them to decline again.. I once left the app running for a solid 20 minutes and I couldn't find a driver. It's not okay to be assigned and declined so many times in a row, this service is completely unusable for me.
