While stuck in rush hour gridlock, you’ve probably dreamed of taking charge of the chaos, controlling the traffic flow and bypassing all that stress-inducing congestion.
In Traffix: City Rush you’ll find out if you have what it takes. Your job is to safely navigate vehicles through intersections by controlling only the traffic signals. The red lights are controlled with easy taps: once to turn them yellow and twice to turn them green.
A signal that has been changed to yellow will return to red after one vehicle passes (occasionally two), but signals that have been turned green will only go back to red when you tap them again.
The rules are simple, but it can be tricky to get the timing right. Drivers will start to move as soon as the signal changes and it’s up to you to prevent accidents. And, as in the real world, drivers will grow impatient after waiting a certain amount of time at a red light.
Therein lies the challenge: to calmly guide cars and avoid crashes while, at the same time, not annoying drivers.
If an accident does happen, you’ll need to deal with it swiftly: if you don’t tap the car with the exclamation mark and restore the traffic flow, you’ll quickly have a pile-up on your hands.
You’ll be able to take your traffic management expertise to some of the world’s busiest cities too, from Shanghai to Rome to New York. These busy locations will test your patience at times; but keep a cool head and you’ll discover that, in this game at least, when you control the traffic everything runs smoothly.
