Description

The first global virtual museum.

Arshak Abrahami Fetvadjian (October 1, 1866 – October 7, 1947) was an Armenian creative figure renowned as an artist, painter, and designer.
His notable body of work centers on watercolor renderings capturing the architectural marvels of the medieval Armenian city of Ani. Furthermore, he gained recognition for his involvement in crafting the currency and postage stamps for the inaugural Republic of Armenia (1918–1920). With a dedicated artistic journey spanning over two decades, Fetvadjian amassed a prolific portfolio of more than 2,000 creations, spanning a spectrum from intricate pencil sketches to evocative watercolors. His oeuvre predominantly showcased historically significant churches, monasteries, chapels, and palaces.
Additionally, a substantial portion of his artistic output encompassed portraits that immortalized Armenians in the transitional phase of the 20th century.
