Whether it’s a word from a movie, a common phrase or from a magazine article or web page, language app Reji lets you save it, learn it and perfect it.
If you use the app regularly you can learn hundreds of new words in just a few weeks, and there are 48 languages to choose from.
Reji takes a different approach to other language apps: it’s part tutor, part translator and part scrapbook. In addition to its traditional learning mode, the app also allows you to specify the words you want to learn.
It then finds translations and definitions of your chosen words and helps you commit them to memory.
Reji also uses audio to teach you the correct pronunciations, shows words in context (and with pictures) to help you understand them and lets you practise your spelling by typing the answers to language questions.
To make sure that the words you’ve learnt stay fresh in your mind, Reji gives periodic reminders of the words you’ve studied in the past.
It’s a really interesting take on a familiar kind of app, and a great companion to more traditional language learning.
