Description
Song Slicer is a simple but unique iPhone app that helps music students practice individual segments of existing audio files.
Songs are selected from the user’s music library and references are stored in a database. Songs can be added to, or deleted from the database. If the user removes the song from their music library, the reference is removed from the database.
Time-slices are defined using a simple selection process. The user plays the song until the start point is reached, and then clicks on the start button to save to the database. The same process is used to save the end point.
For each time-slice the user can adjust the tempo and pitch. The tempo can be made slower when the user is first learning the song, and speeded up with practice. The pitch can be adjusted to match the instruments tuning.
Slices can either be looped, or played until the end and stopped.
