Description

Created by the artist Caroline Challan Belval, SOUFFLE is a hybrid artist's book, both digital and material, focusing on the imprint of the human breath and designed to be presented in augmented reality in public spaces. It combines audible and moving columns of breath with a celestial sphere and a blue sphere that were the starting point for the project.

The breaths were produced by individuals reading texts, singing and performing musical pieces on wind instruments. The breaths were captured, measured and modeled in bubbles or 3D columns to be displayed in indoor or outdoor areas on a monumental scale, around the world. Their visual appearance and their sound are triggered by means of a smartphone or tablet using the SOUFFLE app.

Launch the Souffle app at every indicated information point.
You will then see objects appear and hear the associated soundtrack. You can use your headphones for an even more immersive experience.
