Cut a watermelon in one slice!

Time has been kind to Fruit Ninja, the chopping sensation that’s fed hungry players since 2010. Slashing oranges and peaches as they fly by—and watching the pulp splash everywhere—still feels as natural as plucking an apple from a tree.

But topping the leaderboards? That takes the knife skills of a master chef. Here’s the perfect way to hone your blade.

Don’t swing recklessly! Maximize points by taking extra milliseconds to set up a combo.

Your challenge: Rack up 200 points in Zen mode, using the basic dojo and starter blade to remove any boosts or perks. Before you dive in, slice through these tips:

1. Keep it straight

You won’t score high without combos, so whenever possible time your swipes to line up at least three fruits and dispatch them in one swing. But be sure to chop any lone stragglers before they fall off the screen. One point beats no points!

2. Aim high

Notice how fruit slows slightly as it reaches the top of its arc? Take advantage by focusing your slashing on the upper half of the screen, where you’re more likely to catch vulnerable targets.

3. Start strong or start over

When you’re chasing a record, every point counts. If you don’t get a combo on the first toss or two—or if you miss several pieces of fruit altogether—just restart the round immediately. Victory does not come by a thousand cuts.
