What happens when a group of Turkish YouTubers who have gained significant popularity in the games community become game characters themselves?

Viral Firar, a retro platformer from Turkey masterminded by Dora Özsoy, answers this question in the most fun and brilliant way.

Today we’re introducing you to the game’s characters and exploring their strengths and weaknesses, all so you can pick who’s right for you when starting the game. If you’re already familiar with Viral Firar, keep reading, because we have some important stuff to share with you as well.

You can unlock new characters in exchange for data, which is Viral Firar’s interpretation of coins or gems, along with likes. Each character costs 80 data and you can further improve your characters’ abilities once you collect enough likes and data.

Dora Özsoy

Who: Perhaps the most generic character in the game, who also happens to be Viral Firar’s creator. He has a sharp sword for enemies and the time-saving ability to spin when jumping.
Strength: Dora is really good at last-minute chaos control and his impressive reflexes come in handy when responding to unexpected threats.
Weakness: If you prefer a more cautious style of play he might not be the character for you and won’t allow you to make a lot of plans ahead of time.
Ideal for: Beginners who are fans of platformers and in the process of understanding how the game works.

I’ve witnessed the challenges of developing a game – that’s why I want to challenge you too.

Dumbledoge

Who: As a congenial esports player, Dumbledoge has cool character mechanics and the most unusual attack in the game. His signature tumble move following a double jump is inspired by his real-life agility in esports.
Strength: Dumbledoge’s weapon is a laser, which is perfect for long-range attacks that can last as long as you want them to. The double jump followed by a tumble can help him overcome many obstacles, too.
Weakness: Dumbledoge’s jumping ability is somewhat limited and in order to reach high platforms he may have to rely on the tumble move, hence the double jump.
Ideal for: Relatively seasoned players who are familiar with the game and like to think a few steps ahead.

You know who you should pick if you’re in it to win it!

Melodi Kızılgün

Who: Perhaps the most entertaining character of the bunch, Melodi is a true feline lover – so it only made sense to surround her character with cats and felinetastic powers. Just to be clear, no cats were harmed in the making of this game!
Strength: Her double jump takes her up and forward, resulting in the destruction of any obstacles in front of her. Too powerful? Maybe!
Weakness: Her regular jumping abilities can be limited to some extent, so the double jump should be used frequently.
Ideal for: Newbies and mid-level players who want to scratch their way to victory without a second thought.

It’s unreal to have such pawesome super powers!

Pintipanda

Who: The most challenging character in the game, period. His YouTube persona is widely known for his love of Turkish tea and for this reason his attack involves an explosive tea cup.
Strength: His traditional Turkish tea cup is a lethal weapon, even for targets that are a huge distance away.
Weakness: Pintipanda is the only character whose double jump will take you down instead of up – this can be deadly, so beware.
Ideal for: You don’t get second chances with Pintipanda, so he’s ideal for seasoned platformer aficionados who know the ins and outs of the game and are ready for a challenge.

Make every cup of tea count in the game!

Togi

Who: The newest of the bunch, Togi is the fifth character to join the Viral Firar roster and there’s no obstacle his head butt can’t overcome when used wisely.
Strength: In addition to his aforementioned signature head butt, he has yet another weapon to wipe out his enemies: the mallet.
Weakness: Similar to Dumbledoge, Togi is not the best jumper and his limited jumping abilities may occasionally give you a hard time when you’re trying to reach new heights (pun very much intended).
Ideal for: Both new starters and quite seasoned players who want to solve problems as they arise.

You can play this game with me without a dull second.
