From the tower-toppling thrills of Angry Birds Reloaded to the head-scratching hijinks of Cut the Rope Remastered, get reacquainted with some of your all-time favorite games in these Apple Arcade incarnations.
Angry Birds Reloaded
Reimagined from the ground up, Angry Birds Reloaded packs the same swine-squashing fun of the original.
What’s new: Refreshed graphics and sound effects, sweet power-ups, and on Eagle Island you’ll have new characters to slingshot, like the coffee-slurping pig, Garry.
Pro tip: “Try to find the weak spot that does the most damage with the first bird,” says Rovio’s VP of game development Tuomo Lehtinen, who was lead programmer on the original. “There’s a cascading effect if you do.”
Cut the Rope Remastered
Players have been slicing ropes to feed the insatiable Om Nom for over a decade—and in this new celebration of the physics-based puzzler, you’ll do it in vibrant 3D style.
What’s new: Om Nom and friends are joined by a new member of the family, Nibble Nom, who gets his own new levels. Don’t let his diminutive size fool you; you’ll need to feed him more candy than Om Nom—he’s hungry!
Pro tip: Be sure to tap around each level’s map screen, says Kay Gruenwoldt, CEO of codeveloper Paladin Studios. “There are lots of goodies hidden there.”
Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City
With its serene vibe and intuitive controls, this chill sandboarding game has you gliding across cinematic landscapes and flipping through the air as you chase high scores.
What’s new: The Lost City, a vibrant, party-packed fourth biome. Board through to uncover even more secrets.
Pro tip: “Use the rocks to your advantage,” says Ryan Cash, founder and CEO of codeveloper Snowman. “You can bounce off them and land on lines to grind.”
Doodle God Universe
The world is yours to shape in this reimagined take on the alchemical puzzle game Doodle God. Combine elements to forge reactions—then use those to make even more. Merging air and lava? Poof—you’ve got yourself some stone!
What’s new: A beautiful planet, which springs to life as you create new combinations. (That lava you merged earlier erupts from the planet’s massive volcano.)
Pro tip: The team at developer JoyBits encourages experimenting. If logic isn’t helping you open up elements, embrace chaos and try making random combos.
