1LimX: Secure Data, File Vault 4+

MacOS version 1 major changes:

1. Faster encryption (see app preview).
2. Scan QR code to get 2FA code from application screenshot (see app preview).
2. Free tier up to 125MB per file attachment.
3. Preview an encrypted file directly in the app. No need to save or use external apps.
4. In Settings, click on "See master key," you can authorize to view your master key and a QR code image of it. If you have new devices to install 1LimX, simply scan the QR code with their cameras to retrieve the master key.
5. New custom data encryption tool for text, rich text and files:

The current way to encrypt and decrypt a file or text is:
1. Create an item (like an internet account item).
2. Create a new text, rich text or file field containing your chosen data.
3. Press Save. The data will be encrypted automatically.
4. Create a backup of that item to obtain the final encrypted file usable on other devices with 1LimX installed.

Now with the custom data encryption tool, text can be encrypted and decrypted right on the screen. With files, just select the file to be encrypted or decrypted and select a folder to save that encrypted or decrypted file.

You'll still need the current approach to encrypt multiple files at once.

How does this work?
The app will generate a unique master key, combined with your master password, to encrypt your data using strong encryption chosen by Google, ChaCha20-Poly1305.

What is an 1LimX backup file? Is it encrypted?
1LimX backup files are encrypted files generated by the 1LimX app that pack all your encrypted data into a single sharable file. You can share and access your data on other computers where 1LimX is also installed using the backup file. In short, the backup files are encrypted with the same ChaCha20Poly1305 algorithm as your data within 1LimX, ensuring secure data transfer.
