Description

Registered users of this app will be able to access conferences and institutes hosted by Region 4 and the Alameda County Office of Education.

These conferences and institutes include:
1) ACT: Action Changes Things! Conference for Educators - where the NorCal Safe & Healthy Schools and Bridging the Bay conferences joined forces to present the most comprehensive conferences in their combined 35 years of experience, with the conference theme of “A.C.T.: Action Changes Things!”. Workshops and keynotes covered a broad range of health and wellness topics, from mental health, to vaping and cannabis, to human trafficking.

2) ACT: Action Changes Things! Conferences for Middle and High School Students - formerly called the "Teens Tackle Tobacco, Health and Wellness Conferences", where thousands of students from across the San Francisco Bay Area come together to participate in workshops and conversations about health and wellness, and how you voice and action can lead to change.

3) The Alameda County Community Exemplary Schools for Success (ACCESS) virtual institute, in August, will bring together the most innovative, interactive, and dynamic workshop presenters, focused on designing and implementing a Community School model. There will be emphasis on these four pillars; Family & Community Engagement, Expanded Learning, Collaborative Leadership and Integrated support services. We will also integrate the following five design principles: culturally and community responsive, equity-centered, whole-child approach, collaborative, inclusive, and rooted in social justice. We welcome participants from across school-day, community partnerships and expanded learning programs to attend.

We are hopeful that you will join us as we help people navigate and improve educational equity, social justice, social & emotional learning practices, restorative practices, and actively combat institutional racism. We want to break down walls, encourage dialogue, and inspire meaningful, long-lasting, change, through our keynotes, workshops, and the ongoing conversations and relationships.

The goal of each conference and institute will be to engage, inspire, challenge, and educate the participants. Participants will leave each conference and institute with tools and knowledge you can use to improve yourself and your work - as "ACTION CHANGES THINGS!"
