We have all returned from a trip with the feeling of not really having gotten to know the place. Without contact with the locals, without sharing in their experiences, we can hardly claim knowledge of a culture and a place.

The most touristic cities are so packed full of visitors and tourist traps that it is increasingly difficult to eat properly traditional food and get to know the locals and their culture.

This desire for a more authentic tourist experience is more frequent than you think, it connects you with more travelers than you can imagine!



Don’t worry! There is a solution for travelers who, like you, are not satisfied with the stale way of travelling along the beaten path.



With the Paladar application it has never been as easy to feel the warmth of the locals. We will be the bridge between you and natives who like to cook and meet people from all over the world, through a simple and totally safe mobile application. There's no better way to get to know a culture than to meet a friendly local and sit around their table. The Paladar application is a network for sharing meals in the locals' private homes – known in the application as "Paladares" - an easy way of connecting hospitable hosts to travellers who are looking for an authentic experience of tourism, to be welcomed by locals into their own homes and given a window into their culture.



HOW IT WORKS



As a Paladar guest:



Select, on the main screen, a Paladar that you like

Choose the day and time you want to book, if you haven’t chosen it before.

Confirm the request to this host

You sent one request. Your reservation will be confirmed when the host accepts it. Send more requests for the same time to increase your chances of having an amazing experience.



As a Paladar host:



Select the option “become a host” and fill in all the necessary information

In your host profile, you must update all the information about your Paladar to make it more appealing

In the “my reservations” section of your host profile you will be able to see all the requests that have been maden to your Paladar

When you select one of the requests, a screen will appear with all the information of the request, including dietary restrictions.

After acceptingthe request, the reservation is confirmed and you will be. Able to find it in the “upcoming” section of the “my paladar reservations”
