Percy Lion Explores Alnwick

The Percy Lion Trail will take around 1 ½ hours and is a circular route that you can join at any point and can continue at another time if you wish.

The route follows a trail around town taking in lion points of interest where at some lion features Percy will be animated. At some points you will be able to take a photograph with Percy.

Percy Lion can sometimes be found hiding in shop windows. If you spot Percy and have downloaded the App and can show the Shop Assistant/Owner, you will be able to ask for a percentage discount as agreed with the shop.

Please stay safe while discovering the lions on the trail and help us to ensure that everyone can enjoy it by maintaining a safe distance wherever possible, wearing a face covering if it gets crowded and being respectful to other trail visitors.

We recommend using the Red route and numbered Pictures to get the best from the App Trail but you can dip into it however you wish and come back to it at other times.

You can click on each Find/Point of Interest picture and read the Percy Trail story as you follow the route. There is also historical information available on the Useful Notes Tab.

To activate the animation at each location you will need to click on the tab which states 'I’ve seen this', then click on ‘See the Lion here now’ – this will give you the opportunity to resize the lion and move it around as well as take a fun picture.
