This app looks at current and forecast weather conditions and compares them to your home’s current conditions. It analyzes temperature, dew point, and the possibility of rain over time. You choose how aggressive your window opening strategy is, and it does the math for you to tell you the best times to open and close your windows and why.
The app is free to use and can help you to minimize your air conditioning usage to save on your utility bills. Studies have estimated that a good window opening strategy can reduce air conditioning energy consumption by as much as 30%. It's a great way to bring fresh air into your home, cool it down quickly when conditions are favorable, and help you to sleep better. It can even tell you when to open your windows on an unseasonably warm day.
