Description

Quickly change the display resolutions from the menu bar.

This is a tool that can be used to determine current resolution, list available resolutions and set resolutions for active displays on Mac OS.
The App lets you use Mac Retina's highest and unsupported resolutions. As an example, a Retina MacBook Pro 13" can be set to 3360×2100 maximum resolution, as opposed to Apple's max supported 1680×1050. It is accessible from the menu bar.

This software works silently from the system status bar and by going to the system status bar, you can change screen resolution, screen refresh rate, and bit depth or color depth of the screen. Bit depth is basically the number of bits used to indicate the color of a single pixel. So, it recommended having higher bit depth to get the accurate colors on the screen.

This software provides a very long list of resolutions with different screen refresh rates like 5K @ 60hz, 4K @ 60hz, 2K @ 60hz, etc. Plus, some bit depth values are also present to modify bit depth of the screen namely 3, 16, and 32 bits per pixel. As soon as you select a screen refresh rate, the screen resolution and refresh rate immediately change according to selected values.
