Tokyo Heterotopia -English ver 4+

Let's travel through "Heterotopia" in Tokyo.
"Tokyo Heterotopia" is a sightseeing App that allows you to travel around "Asia" that exists inside Tokyo.
Guided by a map, users visit spots such as a theater, a religious facility, the remains of a refugee shelter, a dorm for overseas students, a cemetery, an ethnic restaurant, and a zoo. Once arriving at the spot, users get to hear stories about that place. These are stories that could have taken place there, created by poets and novelists as a response to research on Asian people who visited Tokyo as students, immigrants, and refugees.

Heterotopia" is a term coined by philosopher Michel Foucault to describe a "place of otherness" that actually exists in reality, differs from “utopia,” which does not exist. Please enjoy Tokyo as an unknown Asia and a "heterotopia within reality.”

《How to use》

▶Select a destination and arrange your trip freely!
When you launch the app, a map of "Tokyo Heterotopia" will be displayed. Selecting an icon of a place to visit will reveal its name and category. Tap the ">" mark on the right to go to the page of individual places to visit. In the list of places to visit, you can check the name and the title of the story in a list view.

▶Guide to lead you on your trip
On the individual destination pages, you can learn about the name of the site, its category, the name of the writer who wrote the story, who reads the story, and the history of the destination. Please experience various aspects of Asia in Tokyo.

▶Go to "Asia in Tokyo
Check the access map to visit Heterotopia. It is recommended that you take public transportation to the nearest location.

▶Listen to the stories of what could have been there at the places you visit.
When you arrive at a destination, a play button will appear and you can listen to a reading of the story.

▶Collecting Heterotopias
In the list of places to visit, places you have visited will be marked with an audio symbol. Once you have visited a place, you will be able to replay the story reading at any time. The number of spots will continue to increase.


【Account registration recommended】
By registering an account, you can save the places you have visited once.
When you change your device, you can restore the places you once visited by logging in with your registered account.
The current visited places will be saved when you log in. 　

【About location information】
The current location information will not be sent outside the application, although location information is acquired due to specifications.
The current location information is used only within the app.
Please turn on "Wi-Fi" to improve the accuracy of location information.
