As in most multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, in Garena RoV, two teams try to destroy each other’s towers and base. There are five players in each team, and Garena RoV ’s eclectic characters include a crowd-clearing option, a cowboy vampire hunter and a familiar face or two. But more on that later.
Impressive graphics and a surging score from film composer Hans Zimmer give these huge battles a cinematic feel, but what makes Garena RoV different from its competition is how the matches play out.
The game's 5v5 ranked matches can last from 12 to 18 minutes, so there’s more time for your team to execute your strategy. That means more time to earn gold by slaying enemies and beasts in the map’s jungle area, and more time to spend that gold mid-fight on spells and gear. Not to mention more time to turn the tide of battle, or perhaps blow an early lead.
Keeping it fair
These multiplayer battles have been designed to be balanced by analyzing thousands of matches so that its roster of characters doesn't feel over- or under-powered. And when you spend real-world money, it’s to buy additional heroes and skins that don’t impact the game’s careful balance.
All this gameplay means your eSports competitors are covered. But Garena RoV also strives to nurture new players through practice matches, a casual mode, guides for each hero, and a Pro Builds option that ensures the weapons you buy mid-match are the ones used by winning players.

In among the 30-plus playable characters, you'll find several DC Comics superheroes. So go ahead and check out these extra heroes. Or stick with the ones you earn by building in-game currency. Band together with complete strangers or grab friends for a nightly match.
