Win or lose (but it’s better to win), you’ll earn in-game gold to spend on new heroes between rounds – or use it to level up and field more troops. Managing your resources is part of the strategy.
Once you hit the battlefield, your heroes fight on their own. Simply position them smartly, placing tanks like Axe up front while ranged specialists like Drow Ranger keep their distance. You’ll also draft one of four unique Underlords to join your team, each packing handy buffs and punishing attacks.
Despite its complexity, Dota Underlords goes out of its way to welcome rookies with informative tutorials and built-in help resources. Don’t have time for a full standard match? Try the punchier Knockout mode. And while the core game is built for multiplayer (including a cooperative option), a robust single-player campaign and surprisingly smart bot support let you test out strategies even when you’re offline.
