Sailor Cats

Kawaii fisher kitties

View

Sailor Cats begins with a cute kitty, floating on the sea in a cardboard box, using a fishing line to catch the materials it needs to build a boat.

Let’s be honest, if hyper-realism is your thing, Sailor Cats probably isn’t for you. However, if you don’t think there’s such a thing as too much cuteness, you’re going to love it.

Collecting messages in bottles can lead to treasure maps.

Sailor Cats is a ‘fish and grow’ game. As you fish you can collect coins and messages in bottles: those messages lead to treasure maps where you’ll find cute outfits, raw materials for bigger and better boats and more gold coins.

The fishing bit isn’t difficult: there’s a bar that bounces from left to right and all you need to do is tap it in the right place at the right time. Power-ups can make it easier or increase the spoils, and there’s lots to fish for: the game contains more than 150 costumes for your cat, and 200 historic relics to collect.

Everything about Sailor Cats is cute. The cats are cute. The outfits are cute. The music is cute. Even the bad jokes, such as the Wheel of Furrtune, are cute. It’s the kind of thing that would put Grumpy Cat in a mood for months, but we think you’ll find it – ahem – highly a-mew-sing.
