Description

The Human Genome App is designed so that a person can obtain information about a known gene or discover relationships between genes and diseases, syndromes or traits.
The app is aimed at anyone curious about where a gene might be located on a chromosome and what we know about that gene. How many sites are there for height? Where does a gene for Cystic Fibrosis sit? Do some genes reside on more than one chromosome? This app is designed to answer just these questions.
The data has been retrieved from public the National Center for Biotechnology (NCBI) Information, National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health, Health and Human Services. Links are provided to retrieve the lastest data for each genetic marker listed.
