Get full control over the production of vitamin D in your skin. The D Vitameter app shows when it is safe to expose your skin to the sun, and when it is not.

Vitamin D is vital for your immune system. It protects your body from a range of illnesses. Thus, it is very important to get sufficient vitamin D. The easiest and most natural vitamin D comes from the Sun, and is produced by your skin under favourable conditions. The level of vitamin D production in your skin is dependent on your age and skin type, as well as solar height and other weather conditions.

The app calculates the actual vitamin D production in your skin. The main view is the ”VitaMeter” which shows the general conditions for vitamin D production and the calculated vitamin D production in your skin.

You can easily adjust the vitamin D calculation to match the current weather conditions. The full version shows the actual weather forecast and uses the weather conditions in the calculations.

The standard function is to show your current vitamin D production at the current location, but you can easily get estimates for any time of the day on any day of the year in any place in the world by using the world map for setting the location. The full version keeps track of all your favourite locations as well as the forecast for the current location.

The full version of the app includes exposure and weather forecasts. The accumulated amount of vitamin D produced in your skin is calculated when exposure is turned on. The actual weather forecast is used in the calculations, and weather details are included, hour by hour. The user interface is upgraded. An Apple watch extension is added, this will show the vitamin D production at the user's location. Ads are re-introduced for the free app version. Earlier purchase of the full version will restore all the new functionality.
