Have a new iPhone 13 Pro, 12 Pro or 2020 iPad Pro with LiDAR sensor? Get this app and try to 3D-scan your house with it! With LiDAR Scanner 3D, making 3D models and exporting them into several formats (USDZ, OBJ, STL, PLY, DXF and LAS) is seamlessly easy.

Note that the scans do not contain colors.

This app needs the LiDAR sensor to create 3D scans.

However, you can create 3D scans also using iPhones and iPads with FaceID (TrueDepth camera) — for that, just download the Heges app (https://hege.sh).

Needs some updates...

One of the few LiDAR based apps. Resolution must be enhanced but I learned that condition is secondary to iOS. I hope it will be better with iOS 14.

Cool idea, Poor resolution

Idea was great but this resolution quality is not suitable for making anything useful. It would be great if we could capture in detail to get a good resolution 3d model especially for smaller objects for printing. As of today, this app is useless in that senseç.

Hello, I agree with you; this app is not intended for 3D printing, but for scanning of large areas. If you want to get scans with incompareably more detail that is suitable for 3D printing, then you can try my other app called Heges (https://hege.sh) — it allows you to use not only LiDAR, but most importantly the selfie FaceID camera, which is much, much more accurate and allows you to scan smaller objects with up to approx. 2 millimeter accuracy.

The sad thing is that the LiDAR sensor is just not as accurate as the selfie FaceID camera — this is most probably due to the fact that Apple does not yet allow developers to access the truly raw LiDAR data. Instead, Apple provides only kind of blurred, scaled-down version of the depth data.
