In app search crashes

On iphone during reading an article when highlighted a word and try to look up, it pops up a screen and you can not close that screen anymore. You have to
Close the app and start over!

Disaster

The last version did erase all previous downloaded issues, can not reload them despite numerous attempts. Although a subscriber can not restore previous purchases or download the new one.
Contacted the said e mail given by the developer. No success.
There is even no update on the application. Even 1 star is too much....
