We’ve updated Weather with bug fixes, as the slider in settings smoothly slides again, and weather-tracking improvements for your pleasant app experience. Check the weather forecast at your location and stay informed about all weather every day.

This is a really good weather app

App forces you to share your location “Always”

I only need it to find me when I open the app. App doesn’t function If I don’t let it access my location at all times. I think this app is tracking people’s locations, I don’t see another reason to make the app stop working when it has access to my location when the app is open.

Update: they clearly state in privacy policy that the app shares our location with third parties for targetted ads.

Thank you for contacting us with this issue. This is not to sell your data to third parties, but it's a bug that we only recently found out about. We're currently working on an update that will allow you to use the tracking feature while having the location setting to 'While app is open'.
