Hercules may be a demigod, but he’s in trouble. It turns out that throwing a party while his parents were away and tearing the entire universe apart was an ill-conceived idea. Now he’s counting on you to clean up this big mess before Zeus returns.
With an intriguing backstory, Sync: Party Hard is an unconventional puzzle. It looks super stylish, its soundtrack is sprinkled with ’70s disco tunes and the game mechanics leverage the built-in gyroscope of your device, which means you actually have to tilt and move yourself to put the pieces together.
Be ready to bend your body as much as your mind in this intergalactic, mythical adventure.
You start with restoring the earth, the sun, a boat and a rabbit. Levels gradually become more complex and figuring out how the pieces all fit together can be flummoxing. Instead of moving your device around frantically, pause and concentrate with an aim to understand the unique logic of the movement.
This will become almost instinctual in no time; the more you play, the more you get a grip on this oddly pleasant puzzler. Players with a competitive nature should also keep an eye on the timer, as the top three quickest “syncers” from each level get a recognition on the leaderboard.
