Some of us dream of becoming action heroes: assembling a crew, plunging into danger, blasting enemies and strolling away from explosions without looking back. Alas, such a lifestyle is probably neither very realistic nor compliant with health and safety guidelines.
With Garena Free Fire though, you get to live that dream. This battle royale game wows with frenetic 50-player battles that play out in as little as 10 minutes.
After you parachute alone (or with teammates) onto one of the maps, you’ll scavenge a variety of weapons, equipment and vehicles with which to traverse the land and defeat other players. All the while, the map’s safety zone gradually shrinks, forcing combatants to crowd into an ever smaller space.
It all sounds a bit daunting, but Garena Free Fire is easy to pick up thanks to its streamlined controls and Training Grounds access. For seasoned players who want a faster-paced experience, modes such as Clash Squad and Bomb Squad pit one team against another in a small area of the map.
Perhaps the best aspect of the game, however, is how it constantly evolves and expands over time; maps are added or redesigned, new game modes are introduced and special limited-time events deliver plenty of surprises. No matter how long you’ve played, there’s always something new and exciting around the corner.
