Captain Planet: Gaia Guardians

Take pollution down to zero

VIEW

The animated TV series Captain Planet and the Planeteers was a beloved fixture of the ’90s. Now the environmentally conscious superhero and his five young helpers are back in a big way with this love letter to the show that taught a generation to reduce, reuse and recycle.

In this action-packed idle game, eco-villains like Dr. Blight, Sly Sludge, Hoggish Greedly and Looten Plunder have hatched their most diabolical plan yet. Using the J.U.N.K. ray, they’re turning everyday pieces of rubbish into giant, city-stomping monsters. You can practically taste the Saturday-morning cereal when Hoggish cackles, “I’ve got a carbon footprint... for your face!”.

Rubbish monsters are threatening the world. Help the Planeteers take them out!

As the original Planeteers – Kwame, Wheeler, Linka, Gi and Ma-Ti – you’ll fight massive monsters spawned from pizza boxes and other rubbish. Tap on these vile creatures to deal damage, or let the Planeteers handle combat on their own while sprinting through deserts, mountains and jungles.

Between battles, help Captain Planet zap defeated monsters, turning them into shiny diamonds. Use those gems to activate the Planeteers’ powerful abilities, like Wheeler’s devastating meteor strike. Under the guidance of Earth mother Gaia, you’ll restore your home base of Hope Island to its natural beauty, fixing solar panels and planting cash-generating trees.

After a hard day’s play, it’s important to clean up – and keep our planet healthy.

As in most idle games, resources accumulate even when you aren’t actively playing. Close the game, and when you come back use the currency you’ve earned to level up damage output. You’ll need it when it comes time to tussle with bosses and their ace-in-the-hole, Captain Pollution. He’s one piece of rubbish you won’t want to recycle.
