Get biosafety information anywhere!

The Canadian Biosafety Standard (CBS), third edition, developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency , is used to verify the ongoing compliance of regulated facilities with a human pathogen and toxin licence or a terrestrial animal pathogen import or transfer permit.

The Canadian Biosafety App version 3.0 allows you to search the CBS requirements specific to your facility. The app includes all requirements from the CBS, third edition, and has features such as:

• full-text view of the CBS
• filter requirements for a:
▫ laboratory
▫ prion work area
▫ large scale production area
▫ small or large animal containment zone
• filter biosecurity requirements
• add notes and photos to the displayed requirements
• use checkboxes to verify requirements
• sort requirements by status
• search keywords within a list of requirements
• save and export requirement checklists for different locations

Links to additional biosafety and biosecurity documents and training are also available within the app.
