Description

Signal is a messaging app with privacy at its core. It is free and easy to use, with strong end-to-end encryption that keeps your communication completely private.

• Send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. Signal uses your phone’s data connection, so you avoid SMS and MMS fees.

• Call your friends with crystal-clear encrypted voice and video calls. Group calls supported for up to 40 people.

• Stay connected with group chats up to 1,000 people. Control who can post and manage group members with admin permission settings.

• Share image, text, and video Stories that disappear after 24 hours. Privacy settings keep you in charge of exactly who can see each Story.

• Signal is built for your privacy. We know nothing about you or who you’re talking to. Our open source Signal Protocol means that we can’t read your messages or listen to your calls. Neither can anyone else. No back doors, no data collection, no compromises.

• Signal is independent and not for profit; a different kind of tech from a different kind of organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit we are supported by your donations, not by advertisers or investors.

What’s New

Version 7.8

• We added support for custom nicknames and notes for anyone you're chatting with on Signal, even if they aren't in your system contacts. Whether you're adding the missing letters in a lazy friend's profile name, or a reminder about where you met, notes and nicknames provide a convenient and secure way to jot down additional details about your Signal Connections — and they're end-to-end encrypted and protected by your Signal PIN so they can be securely restored if you lose your phone too.

Status

I’m loving this app so far....It would be awesome to have a status section where we can share publicly like whats app has it....once that’s integrated you all will be unbeatable

Rating “Signal”

For an application out for such a short time the features are well detailed, the audio is very clear and it is overall well designed. What i think can be added is the ability to display “status” a 24 hour display of a pic/video/message that your contacts can see...If that was to be added it would be the best messaging app available at this time.

Sending multiple posts and ringing volume

The inability to forward multiple things and to multiple recipients at a time is the most frustrating thing!! Please work on this quickly

Ringing tone volume and the tone when ringing someone else for some reason can’t be increased. And it’s low.
